Carl Jung & Ernest Holmes: The Yin and Yang of Spiritual Development

09/28/2014 01:30 PM - 03:30 PM PT

Description

Carl Jung & Ernest Holmes: The Yin and Yang of Spiritual Development
Ernest Holmes and Carl Jung were both writing at the same time--developing ideas that were different yet complementary. Personal experience is their common thread. Holmes wanted to give people the experience of moving into the life affirming and healing heights of Spirit, while Jung desired to give people the experience of going into the depths to find their unique souls. Jung specifically mentions the New Thought movement as the "religion of the future" because it places personal experience over collective belief systems. Both teachers focus on personal responsibility and conscious involvement in the psycho-spiritual human process. Our aim in this brief workshop is to make sure that both the spirit and soul, the yin and yang, work together to allow us to experience the living invisible Presence(s) always moving in our lives at every moment.
