Description

Create more wellness and abundance through the gentle practice of chair yoga. This gentle yoga practice incorporates the support of a chair to increase self-care, quieting the mind, and increasing awareness of who you truly are - Divine Presence.

"I am new to yoga and have avoided it, knowing that I didn’t have the strength and balance for the different postures and positions. Having the opportunity to participate in chair yoga with Jim Landis was wonderful. Jim led us through gentle movements and stretches, while incorporating the essence of yoga. His instructions were easy to follow. Jim was open to answering questions and offering helpful suggestions. I look forward to participating in future chair yoga sessions with Jim and improving my strength and balance, as well as developing a better understanding of the principles of yoga." ~Patricia Rhees

"Jim has a very caring and calming approach teaching yoga. I do regular yoga. And I was impressed how Jim's chair yoga class gave me a wonderful workout. He is good working with students at their level giving modified instructions when needed. I recommend his class for all interested." ~Vicki Draper

Jim Landis’ interest in yoga started in the Bhakti world, which led him to be trained as a yoga teacher. Jim has a unique way of utilizing the practice in a way that works for all bodies, in all stages of life. Chair yoga takes the pressure off the body and allows each person to pay attention to their body and breath as they are stretching. His intention is for all of his students to experience a greater sense of wellness, enabling all to know the Divine at a deeper level, combining mind, body, and spirit. Jim has a passion for the human odyssey and the expression of the divine in the human body.  He recently completed a 200 hour licensing course to teach yoga and has been a Science of Mind practitioner since 2019.  His commitment is to see each person as they are, recognize the light and love that they bring, and to pursue the kingdom of heaven within through yoga and spiritual connection.
