Caring Prayer: Transforming Desires Instead of Healing Them Curing prayer heals something - Caring Prayer recognizes and honors human desires for pleasure, prestige, power, and purpose as legitimate God-given yearnings. We can take these desires to the "Prayer Matrix" where we care for them before God rather than asking to have them fixed or cured. As we care for them, Spirit transforms them into what our souls need rather than what we think we want. We can bring hunger, anger, sadness, jealousy, lust, loneliness, and other addictive desires and see them changed into beneficial energies in the soul-making process.
