The Gospel of Mary Magdalene - Nov 2016

11/03/2016 06:30 PM - 12/01/2016 08:00 PM PT

Description

The Gospel of Mary Magdalene
After Jesus’ physical form vanished from earth, many people claimed to be having experiences of his living presence through visions. One of those claimants is Mary of Magdala. In 1895, a partial manuscript appeared from antiquity bearing her name. In it, she speaks with the living Spirit of Jesus and delivers an amazing sermon to the other disciples about the individual soul’s ascent to the Good. This gospel may be the most concise statement of soul-making that we have from the ancient world. Bring your fears and troubles as Mary reveals a way through them in order to find peace and rest. Our approach will utilize a depth psychological approach, relying especially on Carl Jung and James Hillman.
