Caring Prayer: Turning Worry and Crazy Desires into Soulful Power
Presented by Michael Bogar, MDiv, ThM

What if we stopped looking at prayer as a difficult “spiritual practice” and began to see it as a normal function of our “egos”? What if our daily worries, resentments, lusts and fears are prayers? From this perspective, we are always "praying," but not aware of it or what to do about it.

At this retreat we will learn how to honestly take our raw animal desires and fears to the "Prayer Matrix" where we leave them before God to be transmuted. Rather than asking to have our shameful and confusing thoughts and emotions fixed or cured, we will learn how to care for them, allowing Spirit to transform them into what our souls actually need.

We will discover that we must bring our divine anger, sadness, jealousy, lust, loneliness, and other problematic desires before the infinite Author/Angels and see them changed into beneficial energies in the soul-making process.

By recognizing what ego-generated prayer looks like, we will find that the human being is created to pray automatically, just as the body is created to breathe. Bring your honest concerns and learn to practice Caring Prayer.
