 Hinduism: Myth, Religion, and Culture
Did you know that the most popular television program in India was a 94 episodic serial based on their ancient sacred epic, The Mahabharata? That Hindu temples do not function as Jewish and Christian synagogues and churches? That there are over 33 million gods and goddesses in India? That converting to Hinduism is harder than converting to Christianity or Islam? This course will introduce you to basic spiritual ideas and ideals found in modern Hindu culture and literature, a rich glimpse into a world familiar to all followers of Hinduism.
