Who is Jesus Christ and Does It Matter?

03/13/2018 06:30 PM - 03/27/2018 09:00 PM PT

Description

Who Is Jesus Christ, and Does It Matter?

Albert Einstein was once asked if he accepted the historical existence of Jesus Christ, to which he replied: "Unquestionably! No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life." (The Saturday Evening Post, Oct. 26, 1929). Like Einstein, many have wrestled with the question of Jesus' identity and place in human history, religion, and psychology. This class will explore that question, covering the continuum of answers — ranging from Jesus is merely a mythic fantasy to Jesus is God incarnate, and touching on the role Jesus has played over the past century in the New Thought Movement.
