The Bhagavad Gita & Spiritual Renewal
Description
The Bhagavad Gita & Finding Spiritual Renewal in a Challenging World
The Hindu Bhagavad Gita begins with a man who collapses in exhaustion as he faces the demands of his busy and difficult life. The rest of the story is a dialogue between the confused, depressed, and fatigued man with Lord Krishna, the human incarnation of God. Krishna helps him reenter his hectic life with a whole new view of how to face his problems. Ralph Waldo Emerson and Mahatma Gandhi both read the Gita daily as a source for deeper soul-living. This little work contains the essence of Hindu spirituality as lived and practiced by many in India. If you want to learn about Hinduism from a primary source, and to bring your weary soul to a fountain of refreshing spiritual water, join us.
