Join Rev. Kathianne Lewis and CSL Seattle on a pilgrimage to the Island of the Gods, where holding sacred space is a way of life.

ITINERARY
June 11 - 23, 2017

Day 1: Sun Jun 11    Arrive in Bali and transfer to Puri Santrian, Sanur Beach

Day 2: Mon Jun 12    Each day begins with our daily spiritual practice . Then we will have the day to receive welcome massages, and to relax by the pool. In the evening we will have our welcome dinner.

  • 9:00 am breakfast
  • 10:00 am – 11:00 am daily spiritual program
  • Complimentary 1 hour welcome massage
  • 7:00 pm welcome dinner

Day 3: Tue Jun 13    Travel day to Eastern Bali. Enjoy a ride along the coast through beautiful rice fields to Candidasa, a secluded and peaceful seaside area. Along the way we will visit Goa Lawah Temple, known as the Bat Cave Temple, one of Bali’s six holiest temples. This temple has been worshipped since around 1,000 A.D. It is said that the bats provide sustenance for the legendary giant snake, Naga Basuki, which is also believed to live in the cave.

Our home will be a beautiful beachfront hotel, the Rama Ocean View. All rooms are decorated with Balinese harmony in mind. In the evening we will have dinner on our own at the ocean front restaurant.

  • 11:30 am Depart for East Bali, visit Goa Lawah (Bat Cave temple en route)

Day 4: Wed Jun 14    After lunch we will travel to the water palace in Tirtagangga, which means sacred waters of the Ganges. These waters are considered to be holy and are used for religious ceremonies. On the way back to our hotel we will stop at Tenganan, an ancient Bali Aga village, famous for double ikat weavings and lontar palm leaf carvings.

Day 5: Thu Jun 15    After our morning program, we are free to enjoy the hotel pool and optional spa activities. You may also join the snorkeling trip or be guided on a beautiful rice field walk.

Day 6: Fri Jun 16    After our morning program we will head to the village of Ubud, the artistic and cultural center of Bali, where we will spend 6 days and 5 nights. We will stay at the Komaneka Rasa Sayang Resort hotel located just off of Monkey Forest road, in the center of Ubud's bustling activity. Ubud is the home to Bali’s famous art museums and is a shopper’s paradise. The Ubud market has an exotic and vast array of locally produced handicrafts.

In the evening we will dine together at Cafe Cinta.

  • Transfer to Ubud
  • Dinner at Café Wayan

Day 7: Sat Jun 17    After our morning program, you will have free time. Explore nearby salons such as Ubud’s old style family run Nur Salon with its Mandi Lulur or flower bath massage treatment, one of the most popular optional experiences on our tours.

After lunch we will visit Goa Gaja, the Elephant Cave, believed to have been a monastery in the 11th century. The entrance to Goa Gaja features the mouth of a mystical creature with many detailed carvings in stone. In the evening we will enjoy a performance of authentic Balinese dance by Semara Ratih (Sun and Moon,) one of Bali’s premier dance and gamelan groups.

Day 8: Sun Jun 18    After our morning program we will visit Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, one of Bali's prettiest temples. This is a quiet temple in homage to Visnu, the preserver, who rules over water.

The natural springs and waterspouts deliver holy water, which travelers may collect. A statue of Saraswati sits in the middle of a large koi pond and graces the temple.

  • Visit to Gunung Kawi Sebatu

Day 9: Mon Jun 19    This is a free day for you to explore optional activities such as biking, rafting, cooking classes, shopping or museum tours. Morning spiritual program will continue as scheduled. If there is sufficient interest, we may arrange a no-host group dinner at a local restaurant for traditional Balinese food.

Day 10: Tue Jun 20    This morning begins with an early pilgrimage to the west coast of Bali, to visit the famous seaside temple, Tanah Lot.

The temple sits on a large offshore rock, which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide. At the base of the rock is a holy fresh water spring where we will receive blessings before our prayer service.

In the afternoon we will have time in Ubud for shopping or spa experience.

Day 11: Wed Jun 21    The day begins with breakfast, prayer and meditation with Reverend Kathianne. We will then check out of the Komaneka and be transferred to beautiful Jimbaran Beach, a fishing village with great ocean front restaurants and luxury hotels and stay at the Bali Intercontinental. Our afternoon will be free to enjoy the beautiful beach.

  • 10:00 – 11:00 am daily spiritual program
  • 11:30 am Transfer to Jimbaran Beach

Day 12: Thu Jun 22    The day begins with breakfast, prayer and meditation with Reverend Kathianne. Jimbaran bay itself has a pleasant white sand beach and is very safe for swimming. The entire day is free for you to enjoy your last day in Bali on the beach, or by the pool. Some may wish to take a last minute optional tour that will fulfill their Bali experience. That evening on the beach we will have our farewell dinner and enjoy a truly stunning sunset.

DAY 13: Jun 23    We will enjoy our breakfast and have our farewell group meeting this morning. Check out time will be 12:00 pm. We will transfer to the airport at 1:00 pm.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
 
1.    There is a non-refundable $500 deposit required to reserve your spot. Once you register, we will contact you for passport information (passport name, passport number, passport expiration date, nationality, and date of birth).
 
2.    Registration can be paid in a single lump sum or 4 installments (for the net total due after the $500, nonrefundable, deposit), as outlined below:
1st Installment - Due August 14, 2016
          a.    $845 per person double occupancy
          b.    $1,175 per person single occupancy

 
2nd Installment - Due October 16, 2016
          a.    $835 per person double occupancy
          b.    $1,175 per person single occupancy
 
3rd Installment - Due December 18, 2016
          a.    $835 per person double occupancy
          b.    $1,175 per person single occupancy
 
Final Installment - Due February 1, 2017
          a.    $835 per person double occupancy
          b.    $1,175 per person single occupancy
 
4.    If you cancel after Mar 12, 2017 you will forego 50% of the full price of the land package remaining after subtraction of the $500 non-refundable deposit.
 
5.    If you cancel after Apr 26, 2017, you will forego the full price of the land package, including the $500 non-refundable deposit / no refund.

TERMS OF TRAVEL
Seattle Center for Spiritual Living (“CSL”), a recognized 501(c)(3) religious non-profit, is arranging a tour for interested parties to Bali on June 11 - 22, 2017. In the past CSL has had an arranged travel tour cancelled due to elevated security risks. In today’s uncertain world it is possible that this trip may be cancelled due to circumstances beyond CSL’s control. CSL therefore asks that you consider and agree to the following before making a deposit for this tour.
1. I am eighteen (18) years of age or older.
2.  I am physically able to complete this travel.
3. I recognize that CSL is NOT a “seller of travel” as defined in RCW 19.138.021(6).
4. I realize that CSL is arranging travel directly through vendors and will pay to the vendors necessary deposits from the funds I pay to CSL. The deposits might not be refundable in case of a cancellation no matter the circumstances.
5. I recognize that circumstances beyond the control of CSL, such as an act of terrorism or the U.S. State Department canceling all American flights to or from Bali, might require a postponement or cancellation of this trip.
6. I agree to hold CSL harmless if the trip is cancelled for reasons outside CSL’s control. Although I know that CSL will do everything in its power to obtain refunds on my behalf, I will not hold CSL liable for any refunds not received.
7. I understand that if CSL cancels the trip for its own convenience then I will be due a full refund.
8. There is a minimum $500 non-refundable deposit due at registration.
9. By registering I am agreeing to the financial and time deadlines as spelled out above.
10. I agree that CSL shall not be obligated to refund any cancellation penalties imposed by the vendor with whom the services were arranged.
