Join Rev. Debora and Rev. Abigail in an exploration of Brene’ Brown’s new work, Atlas of the Heart, and how that pertains to our work as practitioners. We use the book as a guide for experiential segments to test the new skills needed to practice evolving healing methods.
In this class we’ll explore:
 
  • What it means to be humanand walk through a new framework for cultivating meaningful connection
  • How to avoid spiritual bypass as a practitioner 
  • Ways to use emotions as a catalyst for greatest healing
 
With over 30% of Americans reporting anxiety over the last year, perhaps it’s time, as practitioners and ministers, to take some time to focus on and heal ourselves. If you have felt anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or stress due to the many changes that have happened in the last couple of years, this class is designed for you! The more emotional intelligence you have, the more you can support yourself, your clients, and your community. 
 
You’ll leave the class with:
 
  • An understanding of how your emotions show up in your body and why
  • A greater understanding about how families and communities shape your beliefs
  • An examination of your go-to behaviors
  • A recognition of what you’re feeling or thinking (the context) of your own emotions
 
This class is open only to licensed CSL Practitioners and ministers and provides Continuing Education Credits for Practitioner License Renewal.Each part is 8 CEUs and the entire series is 32CEUs. 
 
In Part 4 you will learn:
 
  • Discover if you are pushing away your joy
  • Explore how to use anger as a catalyst for change
  • Utilize a tool for transforming contempt into respect and appreciation
  • Delve into the courage to walk alongside others and use story stewardship to support your clients and up level your community
 
Tuesdays, Sep 20-Oct 11, 5:30-7:30pm PT/ 6:30-8:30pm MT/ 7:30-9:30pm CT/ 8:30-10:30pm ET
Instructors: Rev Abigail Schairer and Rev. Debora Gay from CSL Seattle
Investment: $15 admin fee due at registration. This Practitioner Continuing Education class is taught on a Pay What You Will basis. We will take an offering every class. Each part in the series is valued at $135. We recommend a sliding scale of $40-$200 per part. Everybody is welcome regardless of their financial situation.
