Will Coleman, Ph.D. is a theologian and teacher of Biblical spirituality. He was born and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in religion at Rhodes College in Memphis, he moved to Decatur, Georgia in order to attend Columbia Theological Seminary. There he received his Master of Divinity degree, with a focus in theology. A few years later, he went on to receive his Doctor of Philosophy degree ("with distinction") from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. His areas of concentration were in philosophical and systematic theology, philosophy of religion and interpretation theory. He teaches and tutors individuals and groups in a variety of contexts in the areas of theology and Biblical spirituality (in English, Hebrew, Greek and Latin).
Will Coleman, Ph.D. teaches and applies principles of Hebrew and Christian Bible study and spirituality for the enrichment of spiritual and psychological health. He has many years of research, writing and teaching experience in this area. He also has studied and practiced a wide range of spiritual topics and disciplines within the tradition of the Kabbalah. Biblical spirituality is rooted in the knowledge that the sacred text called the Bible, which originated in Northeast Africa, is much more comprehensive as a guide for transformation of consciousness in the original sounds, symbols and languages of the Hebrew, Greek and Latin texts than in English translations. This is the true foundation for both Hebrew and Christian spirituality. The Kabbalah (Hebrew spirituality) incorporates knowledge of specific Biblical texts with both visual and auditory meditation techniques that enhance one's appreciation for the relationship between the divine and human interconnection.
Will Coleman, Ph.D. teaches biblical and theological interpretation (in Hebrew, Greek and Latin) and Africentric spirituality with the Interdenominational Theological Seminary (Atlanta) and the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary (Miami).
